Clarity-the quality of being certain or definite
During this season of my life, the word clarity has been coming to my spirit more often than not. I have undergone numerous changes over the past few years of my life that have profoundly shaped me. With these changes came many obstacles and tough decisions, as well as easy ones. I realized throughout all of this that God was giving me clarity on situations and people for the next chapter of my life.
I have always prided myself on my family and friendships because they serve as a grounding point in life. However, the atmosphere shifted to allow me to see things and people for who they truly were. I also learned that it was okay because I was going to be okay. Being in this space allowed me to evaluate the situation in its entirety and accept it for what it was. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
When God gives us clarity, it is not for us to be upset about, but to accept it and move closer towards his plans for our lives. God gives us clarity to release strongholds of things or people who surround us but have no place in our future. Many times, God prepares us beforehand to release the dead weight of our past so we can move forward into our next chapter. God is all-seeing and all-knowing; we are not. When God gives us clarity, we must trust Him. James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
Sometimes we do question things; however, you can go to God for the wisdom to understand why he may have given you clarity about something or someone.
I hope that you find comfort in the clarity that comes with moving towards a new place. As you progress, remember that you are not where you used to be, but you are constantly moving towards a better life. Allow the clarity to serve as a reminder that you are no longer in the old place, but are walking into the new. Isaiah 43:19: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
God wants better for you, and he is preparing you every season of your life for the next one. Accept what he is showing you and continue to press forward into the new. May you find comfort in him through the trying times of life and know that he hears you and listens to every word, so that he can provide you with the clarity you need to be where he has destined you to be. Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
